Ushrina + Dave

I loved this pic of the groom and groomsmen

Ushrina + Dave

The first wedding of the year kicked off with a great start as I helped Rick Carter photograph this wedding in Sacremento. She is part Indian and was an incredibly beautiful wedding. Enjoy!

Tower Bridge

Hanging out with fellow photographer Rick, we wandered to the Tower Bridge. The bridge was built in 1911 and was great to shoot as the sun went down

Mask

While in Sacramento for my first wedding of the year, I was in old town Sacramento and wandered the street. This is an image that was in a window. I loved the lighting and detailing of the face

Sitting Hummingbird

As in my previous post, I was taking pictures of the humming birds for quite a while. I have some great shots. This one I really liked. I cropped in a little bit to make the emphasis a little more on the bird. I hope you like it!

Humming Bird

While out today, I came across this rosemary plant that was swarming with humming birds! I spent 2 hours trying to capture one that wasn't blurry and had some color. Here is my attempt! I hope to do better next time.

The Lookout House

I went out shooting today with a friend and we stumbled across these interesting houses made of tree branches. I loved the textures and the angles of the twisted branches. I hope you like it!

YaYa

I was showing a good friend how to use her new Canon camera and we where taking lots of pictures to show her settings and such. This is of her daughter YaYa (nickname of course!)

Ginger Bread

Okay, I'm not sure why I am getting into taking pictures of my friends pets but it could be that my friend/photographer Niki Ross has been doing a lot of pets lately and I like what she's done. Check out her blog of pets and people!

Hallelujah Junction

I had to take another trip to Reno, NV to visit my grandfather in the hospital. As I was driving, I got to see all the recent snow on the mountains, so I pulled over and took a couple of shots. Hope you like it!

A Quick Visit To Reno, NV

I had a chance to go to Reno, NV to visit family. Here are some pictures from my visit. This is my cousins daughter.

My other cousins dog was hilarious. she loved playing with her toys.

This was a great image that i took in a casino that had glass beads behind the bar. This is from the other site of the bar.

2009 Winter Yosemite

My favorite picture of the trip. It was right and dusk and the fog started to roll in. you can see bridalveil in the background.

A great view of tunnel view with snow! and lots of it. I went with a group of friends to photograph Yosemite in the winter.

I love this picture and the new white-out conditions. I had a hard time getting the camera to focus from all the snow.

This was an interesting tree. I loved the way it leaned while the old broken trunk provided a counter balance. I liked the visual tension it created.

This was at the swinging bridge. I spent quite a bit of time trying to capture the beautil colors of the water.

On this overcast day, I tried to capture all the snow that outlined the shape of the branches.

Nichole + Eric Wedding

So I thought the last wedding was in October but I was asked to help Niki Ross for a wedding a couple of weeks ago. I have been busy finishing up with school that I haven't had a chance to post any images yet.

When I started photographing Nichole + Erik the day started out really foggy so we had to find places that would show the sky. The fog can add some interesting effects but not when you look up. It turns all white.

This image was from right before the wedding when they say each other for the first time. It was a great moment. Erik could wait for us to take pictures and he ran to her to see her. A very touching moment.

The wedding was at Butte Creek Country Club. Here is Nichole by the footbridge.

Again, here is the Bride and her bridesmaids. I love the way the fog softens the entire image and gives it a great effect

Now Shooting Canon 5D Mark II

I just got my new camera and am extremely excited about putting it the test. I am hoping to take it out over the Christmas break so I will keep you updated. In the meantime, keep checking back for new images
